Aging. A bit of a touchy topic, really.
Sometimes I have a hard time believing that I’ll be 28 at the end of this year. It’s almost like once you get to 21, time decides to shoot a double espresso and kick into high gear. But seriously, where did the time go?
And while I must say that overall, I’m actually enjoying aging, my forehead and neck are showing otherwise.
I’m not going to lie. I was stupid. I barely ever wore sunscreen in my teens and early twenties. And the signs of this certainly showed up as of last year. While I suppose I’m a bit lucky that the only place I have fine lines now are my forehead and neck, there’s something that seems a bit unfair about still having bad acne on the lower half of my face (due to mild PCOS) while having lines on my forehead. But hey, this is my reality. And while I can’t go back in time and start being more careful in the sun, there are things I can do now to help slow the process and regenerate my skin.
Cue Lalogy, a Los Angeles-based company that makes skincare products that are made of all natural and 100% organic ingredients. And their results are also clinically validated.
I guess that’s what seems a bit tricky these days. You want to use products that are good for you and don’t contain harmful ingredients or are tested on animals, but you wonder about the efficacy of all-natural alternatives. If you’ve ever tried all-natural deodorant, you know what I’m talking about…
As part of Lalogy’s current #luvlalogy campaign, I opted to receive and try their corrective night cream, Lullaby. Lullaby is an overnight cream made to rehydrate skin with nourishing hydrolyzed oats and allantoin, as well as alpha hydroxy acids to remove dead skin cells. The cream works to boost collagen and elastin synthesis in order to plump skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. The cream also contains rosehip seed oils and pumpkin seed oils which help to rebuild your lipid barrier layer – which is the layer that keeps hydration in.
So, the million-dollar question. Does it work?
For me, the answer is YES. I was actually really impressed with this product. So much so that instead of just using it at night, I’ve also opted to use it in the morning on my forehead underneath my makeup for a morning boost. Now, the lines on my forehead are not gone by any means, and I don’t expect them to be gone even after more use. However, their appearance is definitely less noticeable, and my skin looks more youthful and refreshed.

And lastly, remember to refrigerate your Lalogy products. Being made of natural and organic ingredients means that refrigeration will help to keep them fresher, longer – producing more noticeable results.
